Kendyl of Carlsbad goes to Olympic Trials!

13-year old Kendyl Stewart of Carlsbad qualified for US Olympic Trials in 2 events this summer in Omaha, Nebraska: the 100 meter backstroke and the 100 meter butterfly. North Coast Aquatics, based in Carlsbad, sent 5 swimmers to US Trials in Omaha (2 advanced to semi-finals and 1 to finals), 1 swimmer to Canadian Trials, and 1 to the Olympics in Beijing. Extreme shortage of Carlsbad pool time forces driving to LaJolla to train.
